Machine Setup

The basic base setup is based on the stock setup at Tsukuba RC Park, with the front camber changed from 1.5 to 1.0.

Topics for this build

  • The rear pitching spring was changed from a standard tapered spring to the MS spring used for the front kingpin. This softened the front's grip when accelerating beyond the clip, making line tracing easier.
  • The knuckle bump spacer was changed from 1.5 to 1.0.

  • This reduced the amount of bump-out when the front suspension strokes, resulting in a more neutral steering feel.

    Tires

I tried various powder and rubber tires. Personally, I preferred rubber over powder, so I chose AXX30 for the rear and AXX35 for the front, with no glue on the front tires. I later switched to control tires, but it ran smoothly without any issues, and the best lap time was almost the same.

    Body

This time, I tried the SuperRad SR-06 series and the BLACKART P10.
I ultimately chose the SR-06Y, but the SR-06X also has quick rear-end turning, and I felt it would perform well on heavier surfaces. The P10 has excellent steering feel, but it might be a slight drawback on long straight jams.
