This setup works really well for drivers that are new to the Extremely high grip CRC Black Carpet we run in the United States. It calmed the car down quite a bit so it wasn't so edgy on steering.

Not noted is gluing the front tires to 60mm.

The 2017 Snowbirds National is over and I am back to work and life. My ARC R11 2017 U.S. Edition and Trinity Power were an amazing combination. It was one heck of a challenge with the field so deep with talented drivers, but man, did I learn a lot while there! Due to my lack of track time on the black carpet (This being my 7th weekend ever on carpet), I chopse to run Stock Touring 21.5 instead of my normal 17.5. My first 3 Qualifiers were all very challenging as the car was way too aggressive/edgy for me to get into a flow and rhythm. I kept working hard at it to calm the car down and was able to finally get a clean run in Q4 to move me from 29th qualifying position to 24th qualifier, starting 5th in the C-Main. The start of the C-Main was one that was full of crashing lexan. I came out of the first lap in 6th, but was able to move up to 3rd on lap 5, until dropping to 4th on lap 8, which is where I stayed and finished.

While my goal of making the B-Main was not achieved, I walk away with so much more knowledge. I want to personally thank Austin Wolfe, Mark Burt, Cory Parsons, Kevin Abbott for the incredible willingness to help me with Setup, Motor Tuning, and Driving Feedback. Your willingness to help was amazing and is what made the event fun! I also want to thank Ernest Provetti, Peter J Pepe, Chris Draper, Willie Chung and Paul Dabao for the great support and allowing me to be part of some amazing teams. Thanks so much to my sponsors, Team ARC USA, Team Trinity, ActivRC, and Ronin RC. They all have some amazing go fast products and could not be there without their support! I will show up next year at the 2018 Snowbirds for some sweet redemption on my results. See ya there!!!
