DRK Reinforced Chassis is designed to add stiffness and weight in order to obtain a super low center of gravity and less roll on high grip surface tracks.
This chassis is a laser cut stainless steel piece you can request in two thicknesses, 1mm or 1.5mm. Its weights approximately 100grs depending thickness
Here is the step-by-step you need to follow to install this part.
1- Remove all molding retaining the transmission case in position. Make the back section as flat as possible.
2- Position the DRK Reinforced Chassis in the B-Max2MR plastic chassis and drill some holes, those holes will allow you to mount the DRK Reinforced Chassis with the original component.
3- DRK Reinforced Chassis’ holes are not taped to let you proceed on your own depending the type of screw (standard or metric) you are using.
4- The drilled holes need to be chamfered.
5- Once holes are chamfered, attach the DRK Reinforced Chassis to the original chassis.
6- Make sure to use screws short enough to avoid protrusion and so not damaging the LiPo battery.
7- The DRK Reinforced Chassis is position connect to let plastic chassis in the battery section.
8- At this step, reinstall the steering assembly (not shown) and the battery retainer.
9- Once installed, the DRK Reinforced Chassis must lay flat.
10- You are done, time to reinstall all the electronics. Here is one example of mid motor layout.
