Schumacher Indoor Masters Round 3 at Worksop is in the books...

The track crew layout a very different track for this round and I must admit I loved it..

I really like the fact the crew have done a something completely different every round, top work lads 👏

4wd up first.
I went with my #XB4D as it came off the track in round 2 and in practice it was a little hard to drive, spanners came out and made some changes to take a little front end away and balance the car ready for Q1.
Again I was in the top heat with the superstars.
My car and LRP GmbH power felt pretty solid all day not perfect but pretty close.. I would have little bobbles and lose a little time letting the top boys through costing me some time but I felt a little more comfortable in this heat th at I did in the previous round.
Round scores of 10,7,12,8 would see me miss the A by 1 point 😢 the dreaded BQ...

2WD
What can I say... my #XB2D was phenomenal from practice and I made zero changes to the car all day..
My first time in the top heat in 2wd and if I'm honest I felt more comfortable in there with 2wd than I did in 4wd.
Round 1 and 2 would see me with 7 and 7 in round I knew then that the A was a possibility but if I didn't improve it was going to be tight
Round 3 I managed a 6 this pretty much guaranteed me in somewhere near the back looking at what people had behind.
This allowed me to have a real go in Round 4 with nothing to really lose.. I managed to have a pretty clean run 1 or 2 wobbles but come off with a 4 in round 😍
Round scores of 7,7,6,4 would see me line up 5th over all and my first Worksop A final.... 🤯

4wd final I lead from tone to flag with only 1 small bobble but was pretty comfortable not having to push. A strong result but I come away knowing I had pace for the A. 2wd final started great getting up to 4th after a minute or so where I would stay for a further minute then a bobble from me seen me collected by pretty much every car a marshal to forget (William 🤣) would end with me under the jump next to race control and that was all she wrote. Finished P10.

If you asked me at the start of the day if I would have been happy with 10 and 11 I would have snapped your hand off but I go away a little disappointed as I had way more pace than that yesterday, plenty of points in the bag for the championship.

The set up work with all of the XRAY UK team is paying off and I have never had cars and #LRP power this good at worksop.

It was great to see the boss Greg Hill make a visit and spend time with the team 👊

Huge shout out to Jonny Skidmore RC for a taking double Tq and Win 🏆

As always great to see the crazy gang Martin Owen Matt Thompson RC Luke Thompson Ben Smith RC Simon Smith Steve Pierce Rob Fox Ashley Mears even Joseph Cockill

Special mention to Jonathan Dronfield for his first outing with the #LRPGmbH power 🥶
