- Tamiya TRF501X -



The high-end RC Buggy that was announced during the hobby show in May and had been highly anticipated ever since is finally here. Using the concept of the TA05 as the base, A front/midship motor drives a two-belt 4WD system, with the frame featuring 2.5mm carbon fiber upper and lower decks. The 4-wheel double wishbone suspension allows for a wide range of settings, and coupled with the aeration type oil dampers this bad boy is ready to take on the world. A prototype TRF501X buggy won 2nd & 4th place at the JMRCA All-Japan 1/10 R/C Off-road Championships & Pre-World Championships held from September 8th to 10th. With fantastic results like these, the TRF501X is well on its way to the goal of winning the IFMAR Off-road World Championship to be held in Japan next year!

About the Model
  • The kit comes equipped with a front and rear ball differential.
  • The motor is located towards the front, the weight balance combined with the aerodynamics of the body and rear wing are perfect for attacking big aerial jumps
  • Chassis is designed for use with saddle pack-type batteries

- Tamiya TRF501X World Championship -



The IFMAR Electric 1/10 Off-Road Car World Championships are held in Japan this year and Team TRF will be there in force with their specially-tuned TRF501X machines. To commemorate this participation, Tamiya is announcing the release of a TRF501X World Championship Edition, featuring many special parts that will be used at this world-class R/C race. These option parts promise to bring out the true potential of this racing buggy.

About the Model
  • 1/10 scale assembly kit R/C model of the TRF501X, with many special option parts added.
  • Differential has been redesigned to increase performance and durability.
  • New parts including aluminum caster block, aluminum rear upright, and reinforced upper arm mounts further enhance the buggy's ability to withstand the rigors of off-road racing.
  • New ball connectors made from high-strength steel.
  • New damper pistons made from Delrin, a lightweight and low-friction resin material.
  • The entire drivetrain has been modified to improve power-transfer efficiency, with parts such as an 18T center pulley, 37T ball diff. pulley, and 369mm drive belts.
  • Clear polycarbonate body shell has been redesigned for better aerodynamics.
