We had a great day of racing yesterday at the Palmetto Classic held by BeachRC Hobbies! Brent Densford and crew built a great layout for this race. Alex Birmingham did a smooth job with running the program with just around 200 entries.
For qualifying, Griffin Hanna missed the first 2 rounds for the 4wd class,do to taking his SATs for school that morning! So with one run in 4wd, that started him 5th in the C main. He managed to win and bump to the B. After the 6min B main, he managed to grab another bump into the big show.
Griff was deep in the pack on the start but was able to work his way to the front and would battle with his Jconcept teammates Chris Pace and Brandon Melton! About mid ways through the 10min race, Griff was able grab the lead and take the win!!! We ran Jconcept Space bars in front and Dirtwebs in the rear, hooked up! Our Tekin RSX ESC and Tekin GEN2 6.5 motor was screaming. We made a few adjustments with the Tekin Hotwire and it paid off!
In 2wd he managed to catch 2 rounds of qualifying and would put him self,3rd on the grid. He had a few bad bobbles and over drove a bit but managed to finish 4th! Congrats to Landen Lewis on his win 👍
This was our first big race with the new Serpent SDX4. The new car is flat out pretty awesome!
We recently just started running CRC batteries! Thanks to Mark Calandra!
Also thank you to Tim Schurr for help
