It's no secret Broc Champlin has been having major success with his Schumacher Cat L1 Evo. He's been on a roll, winning his first National Title at the ROAR 1:10 Carpet Nationals and then backing it up with another win at the INS12 Summer Indoor Nationals! Today's inside look is from his win at the INS race at the Hobbytown Hobbyplex in Nebraska!

Diving straight into it, you'll immediately notice the JConcepts S2 Body designed specifically for the Cat L1 Evo. He had Erik Everett, over at EZ Customs, paint it up in his signature green and black scheme with the green sparkle. Moving right along, he paired it with the JConcepts 6.5″ Carpet|Dirt|Turf Wing.

For tires, at this particular track, he raced the mains with the JConcepts Smoothie 2s in Silver. He also added the RM2 Hard Foams in the front and kept the standard Dirt-Tech inserts in the rear. In the photo above, he has Gold Ellipses mounted up, which drivers used at the beginning of the race weekend. When running the sanded-down Ellipse, he ran the dirt-tech inserts all the way around. To complete the look, he mounted them on White Mono Wheels!

Next, we wanted to show you the close-up photos of the front and rear to examine shock positions.

Moving under the hood of this vehicle, you'll notice it runs on a belt system. This unique feature makes the L1 Evo stand out from other vehicles on the market. Underneath that system lies the electronics that power this beast. Champlin runs the LRP and MKS line of products. Starting at the front of the buggy and working our way back, you'll first notice the ESC. He's running the LRP Flow-X Off-Road ESC. If you look to the right of ESC you'll notice the MKS HBL599 SL Servo. Working your way down the car, you'll come across the LRP X22 6.5 turn motor. Lastly, the final piece is the battery. He's running the LRP 4100 mAh LCG battery.

We hope you enjoyed this under-the-hood look at Broc Champlin's winning 4wd Buggy! Below, we've embedded the triple A-Mains for you to watch this car in action! Up next, you can catch Champlin racing at the ROAR 1:10 Off-Road Dirt Nationals at SDRC Raceway in San Diego, California!
