2022 ROAR Carpet Nationals

Dreams come true lads. What a weekend in sunny Albany, Oregon, @ NorthWest Hobbies for the carpet nats. From top to bottom, a personal performance I will mark in the books forever.

The week started out on the correct foot as I jumped out for practice very well prepared. I changed a 1mm washer on my 4wd for my second pack on the track and it was amazing. As for 2wd, I changed shock fluid, that’s it.

4wd (L1 EVO); I seeded 2nd, managed to TQ all 4 rounds of qualifying being the only driver to go 23 laps in which I did 3 of 4 runs. And the first 2 mains, I won in style. A1, I made a mistake and had two incredible passes to climb back out front.. A2, tone to tone under a ton of pressure from the TLR boys to become the National Champ🏆

2wd (LD2); seeded 3rd. Snagged the final round of qualifying and lined up 2nd on the grid. A1, drove around to 2nd after letting Dakotah slip away. A2, drove hard, found my way to the lead and won that main. A3, Dakotah and I were the only 2 that could win, I was trying to keep pace and pushed just a bit too hard going for the win. I tapped out but would finish 2nd overall based off of my first two main results!🥈

Hats off to Dakotah on another 2wd title and to Cavalieri for the rad battles!

Thank you everyone who’s helped me get to the position I’m in today. Even my prior teams, my competitors, etc. It’s truly a blessing to be able to compete at the top of a very challenging industry. To not only compete but find that extra gear when needed at a national event to pull off a win against the worlds best, it’s a dream. I’m very thankful for the companies that I work with as I truly believe I have one of the best programs there is.

I would like to personally thank everyone over at Schumacher, Robin, Muz, Tris, and the rest of the squad in the UK for providing me with the best of cars. Jürgen Lautenbach in Germany from LRP Power. Jason and Allison Rouna from Jconcepts. Thomas Cooke and Kenny Johnson from MKS Servos. I’d also like to personal thank my friends and family for sticking beside me and believing all of these years. My dad (Chris), Stepmom (Angela), brother (Blake), grandma and grandpa Jacks, the boys, Rob, Kobe, Taylor, Ryan, and Anthony. And a special person to me, my mother. I’ve always said I’d dedicate the first to her, to you mom. I wish you were here to see this!🖤
