Long wheelbase
Wing: low and to the front
Gearing: 8,5T on 25/78
on new motor plate
Tyres: front Schumacher
Stagger Rib, rear Schumacher Mini Spike Yellow, the team used Mr.O and
KWF inserts, used Losi ones are good too (the softer inserts made the
car easier to drive).
Black pistons indeed
for landings, but they also make the car very stable while turning.
Since the astro was new and very grippy, this helped a lot to
stabilize the car.
AE rod ends indeed give more droop.
What do you mean with rear arms? Wheelbase was set to long.
Personally I also made a mod to the front hubs. I dremel off some
material so I can mount them more forward. So in fact I have a
wheelbase adjustment in the front. Making the wheelbase longer in the
front results in less wheelie effect, keeps the front flatter, adds
stability. In fact you are making wheelbase longer, and at the same
time you get more weight % on the rear wheels. Like it a lot :-D
Losi is short compared to B4, and very short compared to X6, so a
little more length doesn't hurt.
