*2wd setup from 2025 Ifmar worlds in Sydney*
The 2025 worlds was an amazing event - so amazing it's taken me a long time to recover and get around to posting a setup :). My B7D was fantastic to drive and I loved every lap of the event. The track was a large outdoor track with good flow and many off camber corners, with a surface that started low Grip every morning but grooved up each day.
I ran the new B7 3 gear transmission in conjunction with the flipped rear arms we have previously shared and a -4mm chassis for maximum forward grip. We received the new JConcepts P2x body just before the worlds and in conjunction with the new 'Monster' 7" wing we had plenty of downforce.
The rear tyre was controlled but for the front we used the JConcepts Rips and Dirt webs. In fact the entire A final used Rips - surely one of the best outdoor tyres ever made.
A lot of different setups were used across the team with many adapting the b6.4 gearbox into the car (we ran that on Lachlan Mundays car). I chose to stick with the B7 3 gear which we found gave better throttle feel over the 5 gear but keeps the awesome corner speed with the motor forward. Highly recommend to give this a go :)
I hope this setup helps all of you outdoor racers out there
