Avid came to this years 2024 US Carpet Offroad Championships with a ton of new products that includes a B7 Carpet Conversion! Here are the details on all these products from Avid!
Carpet Conversion
After six months of development and three design iterations, our B7 Carpet Conversion is finally taking shape. The design shifts the vehicle’s weight balance forward by repositioning the battery and servo, optimizing performance in high-traction conditions. It also incorporates a low center-of-gravity (CG) weight system (not shown in the current prototype). This in-house prototype features raw aluminum materials, but the production version will be more refined, with top deck braces anodized black and laser-etched, and the chassis coated in our durable Avant hardened finish, also used on our shock bodies. Production samples are currently underway, with a full release coming soon. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for updates!

13mm Carpet Springs
Remember a decade ago when everyone wanted to borrow your Avid purple springs? We’re bringing back the legendary Avid raw material springs, designed specifically for carpet racing. This new range will cover both 2WD and 4WD platforms.

B7 Triad Direct Drive
The B7 Triad Direct Drive carries forward the innovation of our B6 version, which remains the lightest on the market. Constructed from 7075 aluminum, the unit eliminates screws by keying directly into our Triad slipper spurs and uses lightweight aluminum hardware—including the screw—for a streamlined, competitive design. We’ve kept the price point competitive by forgoing heavier titanium screws, and you can easily switch between direct drive and slipper setups using the same spur gear.

B7 Infinite Adjustable Front Titanium Axles
Our new front axle system offers unparalleled adjustability, enabling you to fine-tune your track width with ease. Made from durable titanium with 4mm aluminum hexes and an array of aluminum shims, you can precisely position the hex to your desired location, with an adjustment range of 4-8mm.
This system solves the issue of having to have multiple hexes or axles. With front wheels having a hex depth of 2mm, it is even tough to widen your car now with a 1mm carbon track width spacer.
