Attached is my current turf setup for the b6.4 in time for tomorrow's race! Below is my initial thoughts on setup after the first few weeks of testing.

  • The 13mm shocks provide way more pack than the 12mm shocks did. This caused issues with the car not rolling through corners properly and landing very stiff off jumps. I didn't feel comfortable driving it hard. I think that 3 hole pistons are the way to go on the turf track. It maintains a good amount of pack for the high velocity compressions such as jump landings, but with the additional square area of the holes in the piston by adding a third, roll through corners is much better causing the car to feel more settled.

  • The change to the kickup/caster on the front end has increased the aggressive feeling of the steering. The car enters corners more aggressively but is smooth through the mid corner due to the decrease in caster and the -1 scrub radius of the c-hub. I did notice however, that on power after mid corner into exit, the rear end seems to wash out more than the 6.3. I'm not sure of the reason why, but the way I mitigated this was to increase my anti-squat. Now the car is more controllable on power through corners and this is felt a lot in the turn leading to the triple on the current layout. I can accelerate and square up the jump without the rear end freeing up too much.
