The rack includes 2 thin crush tubes (black) which should be placed in between the bearings in the rack. During assembly it is important to align the crush tubes into place and while securing the parts together, always use a light amount of thread locking compound on any thread which assembles into aluminum.

The fit of the new bell-cranks has been improved by the positioning of the bearings to help eliminate binding when assembled.

One of the best upgrades you can make to any R/C vehicle is to reduce weight. JConcepts has been on top of weight saving items since the beginning and now are making those items available to the Team Associated B5 vehicles. A critical point of the axle weight revolves around the front axle itself along with surrounding geometry, hexes and pins. Within the steering block the space is very tight and especially between the 2 front bearings where the front axles rests. The cleverly designed JConcepts axle is quite simple, straight-forward and eliminates ~38% weight over a stock steel replacement axle.
The JConcepts front axle design is based around high-quality Titanium construction, and a knurled axle tip for finger control and access. Finger control gives the mechanic a grippy place to rest a finger so the front tire doesn’t rotate easily during changes making the process quicker and with less frustration. The design also eliminates screws and other items which are hard to inspect for issues which limit performance and add additional weight. - Slide the axle through bearings and install included roll-pin and center on the axle.
- Complete by installing (not included) JC #2347-1 (blue) or 2347-2 (black) or AE #91409 clamping hex adaptor. For added security use (available separately) #2341-1 (blue) or #2341-2 (black) JConcepts large flange serrated wheel nuts.

Chassis weight, design, and construction is a fundamental aspect of all design. Generally the largest and heaviest item on a vehicle, the chassis, is a tunable item that can be paired with new and evolving setups to yield next level results. The Honeycomb chassis by JConcepts sheds some weight in a unique pattern and allows the all important rigidity to remain intact. The air-craft grade, 7075 aluminum chassis material has all the matching hole locations as the stock unit making the JConcepts a direct bolt-on piece.
The chassis blank is hard anodized black and as a second operation, milled hex shaped pockets are added throughout the main surface removing weight. In the main electronics compartment, aluminum islands are left to allow an electrical footing area for mounting and wiring needs. The hex pockets in the center of the chassis have been cleared for sensor wire or miscellaneous wire routing. All edges of the honeycomb pockets have been highlighted with chamfered edging all around, bringing out an even more luxurious look.
The honeycomb chassis weighs in at 112gms, some 23gms less than a stock counterpart all while still remaining structurally sound. The drive system on any vehicle is critical but in off-road racing where long stroke suspensions are commonplace, CVA performance is vital. JConcepts introduces a CVA set built for performance, durability and a high dose of glamour. The design is based around the HD 5mm axle diameter which is able to stand up to a rigorous demands of today’s racing. The bones have been machined of spring steel material for the ultimate in durability and performance and inserted with hardened steel pins on the drive ends.
The aluminum pin barrels have a high tolerance fit and finish for smooth and quiet performance. The CVA kit includes light-weight, black anodized aluminum 12mm clamping style hex adaptors for a slide on fit to the HD axle. The look is unmistakably JConcepts with the high luster look of the advanced plating on the bones, axles and barrels which also provide corrosion resistance. Assembly Start by opening and identifying all individual components for each assembly. Apply a liberal amount of Team Associated “black grease” to the short barrel and insert into corresponding hole in the axle end. Position the bone directly over the axle with barrel in place and carefully line up the holes / slots through bone, axle and barrel. Insert one of the included steel pins to connect the assembly. Insert completed CVA into bearing and hub assembly and drop another steel pin and center on the axle. Slide aluminum hex adaptor over the axle and line up the pin with the slot on the back of the adaptor and push into place. Insert included screw into hex adaptor and tighten lightly to clamp assembly into place.

Extra beefy, security and precision are the best ways to describe the new 4-hole rear ball-stud mount for the Team Associated “M” line of vehicles. The rear ball-stud mount is under a tremendous amount of stress in today’s racing atmosphere and it is now heavy-duty thanks to JConcepts. After many months of testing and race tuning there are a couple advancements given to the new mount. First, for the high-end chassis tuners, the mount has 2 new additional holes for camber gain adjustment. The standard holes remain for the all important stock settings but the newly offered holes allow an in-between setting as well as an evenly spaced 4th hole all the way inside. In addition, the mount also features a setting which allows the racer to change the orientation of the mount to either -2mm or +2mm of inner ball-stud height.
The durability in this mounting area has been put to the test with difficult race circuits and especially with the introduction of the T5M and the pending release of the SC5M. JConcepts has added thickness around the screw mounting holes, thickened the main connection “U-brace” and for twisting and bending resistance added a thick rib from the main body to the screw location boss. JConcepts has beefed up the wing mount area with the introduction of the aluminum mounts specifically designed for B5M vehicle. CNC-machined aluminum, available in blue and black color, these mounts are designed in a creative but functional way to add rigidity to a high-impact area.
