B64 carbon fiber steering arms match the kit steering geometry on the Team Associated B64 and B64D buggy.

B64 Carbon Steering Arms, Type 1

B64 Type 1 steering arms alter the kit steering geometry for more steering in tight haripin and 180 turns. The increased Ackermann makes the inside wheel turn in quicker, giving more front end grip through tight turns.

  3. Increased Ackermann for more steering in tight layouts and 180 turns. Also great to get steering while using thick diff oil.

B64 Extreme Front Tower

Drivers of the Associated B64 and B64D will want to pick up the Schelle Extreme B64 towers for their next spares or replacements. In addition to increasing durability, the towers also add new tuning options to improve the buggy.

In the front, the upper link options match the kit settings, but Schelle offers an optional front wing mount. The front wing is a great addition in high traction when using the less-agressive kit B64 body. Our testing has found that the JConcepts F2 body does not require a front wing, but the kit body will definitely benefit from it.

B64 Extreme Tower features:
  1. 4.0 mm carbon fiber for stiffness and durability. Made in the USA.
  2. Front and Rear tower removed un-necessary outer holes for less leverage to break.
  3. Front tower has optional wing mount holes.
  4. Rear tower has single row of inner link holes, shifted 2.5mm inwards from the kit outer positions. This gives a longer upper link than kit, intended to sit directly over the arm pivot and improve cornering balance.
  5. Rear tower with 4 option upper heights, including a new 4th lower option for more steering or when using the diff shim.
  6. Rear tower pre-marked with center drill for the inner row of holes shifted 2mm inwards, if needed on astro/carpet. These are left un-drilled to add strength.
  7. Fits B64 and B64D, use 27.5 kit rear shock bodies.

B64 Steering Arm Type 3 (B6 Replica, Flowing Tracks)

B64 Type 3 steering arms are a slight tweak on the geometry of our Type 1 blocks to gain more stability on tracks with larger sweeping turns. The Type 3 mimic the shorter leverage and quick reaction of Type 1, but with a more mellow Ackermann that is suited for flowing tracks when you need less steering and to stay smooth. The holes are a replica location of adapting the B6 steering arms onto a B64, while still keeping the kit steering stops.

You may ask...what about Type 2? Those are still in development, not ready for prime-time yet!

B64 Carbon Battery Strap

The Schelle B64 carbon fiber battery strap is the first upgrade we thought of when we built the new Associated buggy. The Schelle design does away with the slanted look of the kit plastic part and adds a complimentary design that runs parallel to the centerline of the pack. The Schelle design also has a slot for balance port access on the battery packs. B64 and B64D owners will love the eye-catching design and the option to use the kit mounting hardware OR replace the kit parts with flat head M3 screws for the low-profile look.

B64 Carbon Servo Plate, Antenna-less

With most racers opting for internal antenna-less recievers, Schelle have a B64 and B64D antenna-less servo plate ready to clean up the look on your buggy. In addition to removing the antenna and shaving some weight, the outer servo mount position slot is removed. In our testing, the kit design with a slotted screw hole was more prone to loosen up from the vibrations and loads in off-road racing.

B64 LP Battery Post Set

The B64 LP Battery Post Set allows for the drop-in fit of the feather-light (150 gram range) "LP" Low-Profile LiPo Batteries into a B64 or B64D. Dropping between 50 and 70 grams over a conventional shorty battery, the reduced weight and lower CG allows for faster cornering and acceleration.

Racers can use the same baseline setup as the heavier battery pack, but we recommend trying a longer rear link on the hub or tower to gain a bit more rear traction. Also, you can add 20 grams to the right rear behind the battery to achieve more rear grip and still save tons of weight over a normal battery.

The Schelle B64 Front Top Deck will become a must-have accessory for racers. Racers will love the the driving feel: With the top deck the car turns, sets, and exits in a smooth arc. B64 Rear Top Deck Assembly

The Schelle B64 Rear Top Deck is the perfect complement to our wildly popular front top deck. Connecting the rear gearbox with the motor mount allows for increase bending strength as well as reduced chassis flex in cornering. When installed, racers will notice an immediate increase in corner speed, as the rear end of the buggy will now follow lock-step with the front end.

Rear flex tuning: Use 1 screw in the center rear hole for added flex in twisting to get more cornering grip, less steering. Use 2 side-by-side screws for reduced flex and maximum cornering speed.

Recommended Setup Changes with the rear top deck: C & D Pin inserts middle-middle, lower rear diff fluid (we recomend 15k and 7k Front/Rear) and 1 step softer rear anti-rollbar (we recommend gray on dirt).

Rear

B64 Carbon Gearbox Shims, 1mm

The B64 Carbon Gearbox Shims package come with 2 pcs. 1mm thickness carbon fiber shims. These shims fit in between the B64 gearbox and chassis and raise the gearbox and suspension mounts up higher as a tuning option.

Features:

  3. Strategic cut-out to prevent backwards differential installation.
  4. Package comes with Instruction/Tuning notes, 2 pcs. 1mm Carbon shim.

When to use:
  • Raises the inner suspension pivots 1mm higher when using the same ride height (stack 2 for 2mm).
  • More support in turns and a higher roll center.
  • Makes the rear more responsive and more entry and mid-corner steering.
Installation:Remove all 5 gearbox screws from the chassis as well as the rear chassis brace screws. Slide the shim into position on the chassis keeping the open side to clear the diff. Re-assemble.

B64 Aluminum Rear Hubs

Schelle broke new ground with the 1/10th 2-piece hub concept on the B5 series. Now, the best hubs on the market are available for the B64 and B64D. The 2-piece design with replaceable caps increases adjustment and durability. The Schelle B64 hubs fit the kit axle height inserts for 0, +1, +2, and +3 adjustability. The standard location "inside, +1mm shim" matched the kit standard upper row middle "B" hole. The upper cap design can space away from the main hub with ballstud shims, allowing racers fine “in-between” adjustments for the rear upper link. True to the kit geometry, the Schelle aluminum hubs are 0 degree toe-in when using the Associated inserts. The SCH1095 aluminum upper caps carry over from the B6 design, and are shared the same part left and right. The upper cap design reduces leverage on the outer ballstud, and is much easier to use when needing to remove a broken ballstud.

B64 Extreme Rear Tower

In the rear, racers get a more durable tower, with new upper link options that improve handling. The kit outer row of holes are shifted 2.5mm towards the centerline, which lengthens the link and improves cornering balance. The inboard row of holes are shifted 2mm and only marked with a drill dimple, as they will be rarely used except for extreme traction conditions.

B64 Short Wheelbase Rear Arms

By popular request, racers asked for pre-cut replacement arms in standard and hard material for the B64 Short Wheelbase Parts Set. The arms are pre-cut to use a 2mm wheelbase shim to shorten the car as a popular team mod for more rear traction.

Schelle premium Titanium screws are made of Grade 5 Titanium Alloy (commonly known as 6Al-4V) with a bright machined finish to give your car that pure racing look. AE V2 Pistons

Schelle have 2 new piston pairs to release for use on the Associated B6 and B64 buggies. First is the 2 hole split 1.6 and 1.7, commonly used in 2wd front to gain more steering indoors. Also for the 2wd or 4wd rear, the 3x1.5 Bevel Piston is a perfect complement to 3x1.4 front pistons in bumpier conditions. These 2 new pistons plus our other 6 go-to sizes are included in the new Schelle Tuning Set of 8 pair screw-on type V2 pistons (fits B6, B6D, B64, B64D). The set also fits screw-on V2 shock shafts which are upgrades for B5, B5M, B5M Factory Lite, T5M, and SC5M.

The pistons are Precision CNC machined, and each pair comes in its own labeled Schelle mini snap case. Package includes piston tuning guide, bevel piston instructions, and Kurt "Coach" Wenger's tips. The 8 pairs included are:

Bevel pistons have a 45 degree bevel edge on the bottom side which allows for quicker rebound damping. Lighter rebound damping (rebound= extension) means that the shock can more quickly respond after bumps in the track, keeping the tires from hopping.

The 3 x 1.5mm Flat pistons are popular for 2wd and 4wd buggies in rear. Also, we are offering a new 3+1 line of split hole pistons, with the +1 additional hole added to give more grip and forgivement in bumpy conditions compared to a standard 3-hole. The addition of the small 4th hole gives less low-speed damping resistance, resulting in more traction. It also alters the damping progression relative to a conventional piston, giving less resistance initially before ramping as the shock speed increases.
