The high-performance BD11, which has impressed the world's top drivers, has evolved further, and many new parts have been designed while inheriting the characteristic parts such as the characteristic ATF active top deck flex and the 5mm thick carbon suspension arm. The brand new machine "Master Speed BD12", which promotes a low center of gravity, will take off!
Among racing machines that tend to be uniform, Yokomo's touring car, which brings innovation with highly creative design, will evolve into "BD12".Realizing a racing design with a lower center of gravity while maintaining the balance between pitching and roll as before. With an advanced design that turns the ordinary into the past, it will lead the racing scene in the 2023-24 series.
Based on the new motor mount that controls pitching rigidity, the chassis roll is controlled by the front and rear divided upper deck.Combined with the ATF active top deck flex, it has a sharp cornering finish. The front and rear shocks are also shortened, and by installing bearings in the spring holders, the torsion of the springs when the shocks are activated is absorbed, achieving linear operation.
SPECIFICATION
- The upper deck is split and joined to the motor mount to improve pitching rigidity.
- The shock length is further shortened, and twisting is eliminated by the spring holder with the bearing.
- The body stiffener on the front hub carrier prevents interference between the body and tires, Increased traction
- Carbon plate attached to the motor mount to increase pitching rigidity
- 90T spur gear lowers the driveline's center of gravity. The motor has also been moved forward to centralize the mass
- Newly designed front shock tower and added upright mounting position for the shock
- New rear shock tower that allows you to change the angle of the rear shock variable
- Main chassis Shallow countersunk screw processing to prevent damage around the screw
- Uses a large-diameter suspension mount spacer to prevent damage to the main chassis in a crash.
The front and rear split upper deck, which is a major feature of BD12. Pitching rigidity is secured by the balance with the newly designed aluminum motor mount, further promoting the low center of gravity.
The motor mount is equipped with a graphite plate that further enhances pitching rigidity. The structure also serves as a battery stopper, and we plan to release a brass version as an option.
Although the front hub carrier has the same alignment as before, it has become a shape that can be installed with a body stiffener. Prevents interference between tires and fenders when downforce is applied, preventing stalls and other troubles.
The BD12 main chassis has a shallower dish than before, and the thickness around the screws has been increased to increase durability. In addition, the spacer for adjusting the height of the suspension mount also uses a large diameter type to diffuse the stress in a crash and prevent damage to the main chassis.
Redesigned by changing the spur gear, which was conventionally 110T, to 90T. Around the spur gear, the center of gravity of the motor mount is lowered to promote a low center of gravity.
In addition, by moving the motor closer to the center of the chassis, mass is concentrated, pitching motion is reduced, and stability during acceleration and deceleration is enhanced.
The damper cap, cylinder and damper end have been redesigned to make it more compact.
By installing a bearing in the spring cup and releasing the torsion of the spring during the stroke, it is possible to draw out the original performance of the spring linearly.
The front shock tower has more holes on the outside than before, making it possible to set up the shock.
The rear shock is a laterally mounted type, and it is possible to support a wide range of settings by adding a spacer.
