I started with my base setup for high-grip conditions, and the car felt balanced and easy to drive right away. As traction increased progressively day by day, I only needed to make small adjustments to maintain consistency and drivability.

During the event, I also took the opportunity to test both the 1.5mm and 2.0mm alloy chassis from XRAY, but ultimately decided to go back to the steel chassis, which provided the best overall balance and confidence for the conditions.

Key changes

  1. Linear front 2.7 springs to feel more connected and suit my driving better instead of the OG 2.5/2.8
  2. Longer rear wheelbase for more forward traction and better consistency
  3. Remove side screws on the shock stay for better support around the corners
  4. Raised hubs 0.25mm front and rear for improved drivability and corner speed.
