Tech info from the recent ETS - Euro Touring Series at Hudy Arena. These are good settings for D compound tires for medium to high grip asphalt tracks! It's the best my Hobbywing Technology & Team EAM, Inc powered XRAY X4'26 car has felt in a while!

Key details:

  • Low RC, little static camber, and high camber gain - for more grip, stability and increased forward traction
  • Low diff positions - to put the car more "in the track"
  • PSS front shocks - more cornering speeds and less snappy mid corner feel
  • Battery and motor moved forward - improves drivability
  • Wider rear hex - frees up the car, and reduces mid corner steering
  • Harder shock oil than usual - to make the car flatter in the hot ambient temps, also made the car start the run better (tires came in quicker)
Alex runs an optional steel 1.2mm chassis with short lower arms on his car, matched with upper link arms, and optional Alu lightweight hubs.

His car features an optional 1.1mm front anti-roll bar, for more mid corner steering, and a stiff C=2.9 rear spring, which improves forward traction, and initial response.

Alex also mounted PSS inserts in his front shocks to improve cornering speeds, and is running an optional rear wider hex, to free up the rear of the car.

The car has a low roll center and a high camber-gain setup, to cope with the D compound tires on a fast outdoor tracks such as this one here at Hudy Arena !

Xray factory driver Alexander Hagberg is using his X4`26 at the Hudy Arena with great success so far. Qualifying went very well for the Swede and we had the chance to top off the Xtreme Zenith body shell from his Xray ride. Alexander is using a 1.2mm steel chassis, short lower arms, a 1.1mm front anti-roll bar, the Xray PSS system in the front shocks, as well as 2.9 rear springs.

As always, Alex is trusting his Hobbywing combo which is energized by Team EAM batteries. A Sanwa M17S is in Alexanders hands to transfer all of his inputs to the car and a matching Sanwa servo is responsible for the steering of the car.
