On my XRAY X4'26, I fine tuned the set-up found at Rose City Speedway for the lower grip and more flowing layout in Cleveland. Important features are the optional short arms, which improve both steering- and traction, but also make the car more aggressive to drive. I do like the optional 1.6mm top decks, as well as upper link arms for these conditions. Worth mentioning is the HUDY #293352 servo saver which provides equal response to a servo horn, but is much more forgiving for carpet tracks with boards (servo doesn't move or break in a crash).

My Hobbywing Technology motor & ESC's ran flawlessly as usual, with minimal changes needed from my usual black carpet set-ups. The power from my brand new Team EAM, Inc battery packs meant that I had to turn down my power a bit in TC as the bottom end felt very punchy and responsive, whereas in 1/12, superb runtime meant that I could push hard for the duration of the 8-minute run without fear of dumping the battery!

In TC, I prefer a 5.5T motor with a standard rotor for smaller carpet tracks. For 1/12, the Titanium rotor has been a game changer for me - with improved efficiency and feel over the standard rotor.
