First of all... the Club EMC Marktoberdorf e.V.: I got mixed reports before my arrivel but this Club is just top notch!I arrived with my kids around Lunch time on Thursday to finish our car preparations like always. And I can say this Club has a good vibe und teamwork. Everything was prepaired on point. And after a electronic problem they worked very hard to find and solve the problem. Long story short... Very great prepaired track, very great catering, very great peoples and atmosphere around the track. Technical inspection and so on. Just a bit more infos in the runs would be great in the future. gaps and so on ^^ once again... Johannes Röhrich-Hirzel and the entire Marktoberdorf crew around... thank you very much for this great event !

Lets move to the race... As this track is around 7 hours away from my home I was never there before. So my data was 0 on arrival day. With that beeing said it was also the first time with this tires to make it even harder ^^ This track is super cool in my mind and should be the track size for all the classes beside mod. THIS is how it has to be with spec racing like FWD, Hobby and so on. For Stock it was still ok. For mod... yes it was smaller as normal, but if you can drive your car und a big track... learn it on a small track too ;) Keep in mind that FWD drivers for example are forced to drive in very big tracks many times and are able to drink a coffee on the straight ^^

After 6 round of practice and 2 seeding runs I found a good working setup wich has some key changes to what I normaly run. To point some... Carbon Chassie, fiberclas topdecks, 300 Oil, closing rear toe, more overall toe in and a couple more smaller things wich you can find in the setup sheet.

My car worked very good on new tires and decent on old so my after TQ the opening round my plan was to just run that set the entire 5 rounds. Sadly, in the 3rd run my tires totally gave up and It was very hard to drive. I might overpushed them or whatever. They where almost open after 2 runs ^^ Anyway... Based on my memorie I had a 0,2 and "only" 8th. This race counts 4 out 5 runs so I was more or less without a chance to safe a 2nd set for the mains. So I mounted my 2nd set in Q3 and TQ´d the round. with a 0,0,2,8 I still needed a Top 5 result to lock the TQ. As the track is challanging and old tire a isse I used the set again to make sure. Guess I took it easy and finished 3rd. Overall TQ set!First goal archieved... but the race just started... ^^

Finals:
A1: As all got a new set for the mains I thought the guys behind me use new tores to set me under pressure. Sadly it was a missjudgement from my side. I was the one one in front on new and was able to pull away a lot without any pressure. Lucky I drove still quite fast in this run. Why is it important ? Well if you make it this long... wait for A3. Spoiler alert ;)
A2: No at Least Lukas and Enrico behind me where on new tores. I got huge pressure from both of them. Sadly only one of them takes it easy but the other one tryed to pass over the grass and on positions where it is just impossible. I would have try it too. Sure. Just a bit senseless that time as I would be hard enough to defend on used tires against new. Anyway, Lukas won that round I scored a 2nd.
A3: I never give at... 3rd run on the tires... .8 slower every lap... man I tryed everything I have to keep this guys behind. Lukas made a fantastic move on me. I slammed the door but this forced me offline and with that tired the brakes didnt work at all. Good job man. Even it has costs me the title it was a very great and deserved pass. I try to recover and fight back but I was just sliding all over the place and gave up kind of sad in my feelings. It was so close to win a title... BUT... without meaning it rude or anything... to my luck Lukas and Enrico where fighting on the track and I just saw that Lukas made a costly mistake wich ends up on the roof. As I knew that my winning time was faster then his I was sure that this should be my title. Whyever it totaly hits my feeling very unexpected. I just had to crouse around a minute and stay calm and thits would be it. and so it does. Man I just had a feeling brakeout once in my life so far when I won a F1 euros title in a situation where I almost had no chances on it anymore. Now its the 2nd time !!

I know its a long text and just written out of my mind... if you make it to this point then Im extremly happy to have you on my friendslist. THANK YOU!

One little thing to add... sure... I won a bit in the past. And im very proud of it. But his dosnt mean everything is easy. I mostly dont test or prep for a race. I love to race. So I prefer to race as many races as possible insteat of testing for a specific one. Excluding the worlds ;) I also bring my kids to races. Yes its very great to see the progress... But I can also tell its challanging. This little title is meaning a lot to me.

Once again thank you very much to each and every congratulations and for sure to all my sponsors in the past and present!
