Many people ask why I run a servo saver on my X4 at US tracks. The explanation is simple. When hard boards are used (no curbs) as track markers, it's almost impossible to have a run where you don't touch these boards at least once. When you're using a servo direct horn, you risk of moving the servo/messing up your trim mid run, which can compromise the handling of the car. A servo saver eliminates this problem. The XRAY kit servo saver (#372503) is super stiff, and is widely used by other car brands as well. On a small, technical track, the difference in feel compared to a horn is barely noticeable. If I was racing on larger, high speed track, especially outdoors, I would use a horn to maximize the steering response.
