A lot of people asked me what option parts I recommend getting for the T4'21! For the new car, our life is made a lot easier - since so many popular option parts are included in the kit now! Some of the options include: steel solid axle outdrives, T-brace, bumper brace, 8mm Ackermann plate, adjustable battery holders and body upstops (both brand new for 2021), 52mm ECS driveshafts, as well as the most used spring combo which is 2.5-2.8 front and 2.6 rear springs.

However, to get the car to 100% race spec, I recommend the following upgrades:
52mm BB ECS Driveshafts (305308) and BB ECS steel outdrives (305138). These parts increase cornering speeds, makes the car easier to drive on direction change. Only advantages in my opinion! There's been some questions about durability but, I only once had a clip come out during hundreds of runs with these things in my car. Highly recommended for competition!

Aluminium steering arms, not only to sharpen up the steering response, but to allow for more physical steering lock as well. Needless to say, they also make the car look better! Available in traditional orange (302525-O) and will soon be available in black as well (302525-K). For racing on asphalt I recommend graphite front C-hubs. The stiffer C-hub will help the car to turn in better, especially in hot temperatures (302383-G and 302384-G). Please note that the C-hubs have been updated for 2021 to accommodate for the body upstops!

If you're racing on carpet with an aluminium chassis, I can really recommend the 1.6mm topdeck (301063). This is the team standard for racing on carpet. The stiffer chassis just works better with a softer top deck (more mid corner steering as well as more overall grip). For competition I can also recommend getting a direct servo horn from HUDY. Not recommended for club racing! See the video in your manual which explains the difference between the different horns available!

There's a range of option parts which are useful/nice to have, but not essential - some of them are:
PSS - (308029) The progressive piston sleeves which are mainly used in the front shocks. Popular for our stock guys especially, on both carpet and asphalt. Prevents the car from dumping too much weight onto the front tires between on- and off-power, and thus, maintains better cornering speed. Low friction belts - (305436) A great upgrade to free up the transmission.

Extra Strong Driveshaft Caps - (305242) The orange driveshaft caps have a longer life than the kit black plastic ones. Low friction pulleys - (305578-0) As the above.
Aluminium bearing holders - (302063 and 302063-K) Not only looks better - but also makes the diff bearings spin freer, especially under load. Aluminium spring retainers (308031-O and 308031-K) A very popular upgrade. Less flex and better precision!

If you have any questions at all, feel free to comment or send me a PM!

Please note that the car shown in the pictures is box stock! No option parts fitted at all!
