A long weekend of racing at a world class facility. I highly recommend every racer to come to this race at least once. You learn a lot about yourself and the cars here. Having some experience with my previous Xpress cars gave me a great start to the Evolution of the XQ11RR. Car was fantastic from the moment I put the car down on Thursday. My partner and myself sponsored and ran the 25.5 LMH class by Interstate Hobby Sport. While breaking in the JACO handout tires and messing with body choices I was able to find pace very quickly.

Seeding came early Friday morning to set the field for qualifying, I was able to string together 3 solid laps to lock up top seed going into Round 1. Round 1 I was able to keep things up but fell a tiny bit short to Charles Edwards who was fast as well all weekend both of us putting in 26 lap runs. Round number 2 the pace was there but using the curbing cost me some time I did manage to put in my fastest hot lap of the weekend in the process just falling short and still qualifying second.

Saturday morning if found some changes that let me up my pace with less mistakes and finally in Qualifier 3 was able to set the pace to beat for the weekend as the car felt absolutely amazing! Qualifier 4 I decided to make another change that made the car to easy to drive forcing me to push to hard making me do some silly mistakes but now I had the information of what I needed for the mains.

Sunday morning we had a short practice session I decided to get myself out there early and test the changes I made and started giggling to myself as this was one of the best cars I have ever driven. I stuck with the set of tires I ran in Qualifiers 3 and 4 as I was debating on my situation as I only used 2 sets of the 4 set limit. After making a few of these changes I recommended my fellow Xpress racer to make some setup changes to his XQ11RR as well. When he took tried the changes during practice they massively improved his lap times. During the main starting with event pole Charles Edwards gave me a fight but the car was so easy to keep out front. The amount of corner speed I was able to keep was amazing I never thought that a 1.5mm chassis would be so good on carpet. I was able to stay ahead until the Charles Edwards #2 car two wheeled it in the switch backs before the straight allowing me to really put on a buffer for the rest of the race. The car was absolutely amazing.

I have to thank Interstate Hobby Sport, Xpress, Power HD, WeiRC, Team EAM, R1, Zoo Racing and Hobbywing for assisting me in having the package available for me to win this weekend.

Running Zoo Racing's latest Hyrax body mounted a bit higher than usual to prevent the body from scraping on the carpet.

Fairly standard Execute XQ11RR with optional split topdecks to reduce the flex for a easier to drive car on carpet.

Lots of shims underneath the lower arms to reduce chassis roll during cornering.

Aluminum hardware uptop of the car for more bling and some weight savings.

Tape on the chassis to reduce drag when the chassis touches the carpet to improve consistency.
