Here's my setup from NYGP with the RC Xpress XQ10R. I was good until the greasy condition came up strong. At that point I couldn't find the right balance between enough steering and being too edgy. As this was my first experience on "big race grip", I was really pleased by how well the car is suited to the conditions! Just need to see more of these conditions to develop a good setup in the greasy feel.

On to the next one!

Notes on the setup:

  • yes, shock towers! I prefer them as it's possible to space out the shocks from the tower and the car handles the small curbs better.
  • my own rear diff cams to raise the diff as much as possible. Approximately 1mm higher.
  • custom rear tower to use same horizontal body post mounting as the X-Square. Krazed Builds cut these to my design.
  • 1.6mm top deck. Cut from my design by Krazed builds. Gives a bit more overall grip, especially side bite.
  • RF mounts are 0.75mm pointed out with 0.5mm inserts pointed in for 2.75 degrees rear toe.
