There are some things I couldn’t mark or forgot to update on the digital sheet so take note of the following.
Track temp 25C med grip.
Tyres Hot Runner HRF32S
- upper shock mounting shims that end with a decimal mean it’s a .5 so my front shocks have a 2.5 shim and the rear is 5.5
- the rear arm mounts I’m using a FF in the RR position along with 0.75 RF split mounts to help widen the track. Toe is set at factory by the hubs.
- Main chassis is a Smokem RS unit that allows most forward battery positioning with Shorty 5000 packs. (No shorty pack adapter needed.
- Not necessary, but my car is optioned out with most of Xpress genuine options parts. Carbon steering knuckles, lightweight outdrives, carbon prop shaft and lightweight couplers. Titanium screws on bottom deck and titanium turnbuckles.
Hiro Seiko alloy screws elsewhere and ti-nitride shock shafts.
Biggest improvements from previous set ups came from the following changes.
Lower weight Shock oil with less piston holes gave a similar load transfer for corner grip but absorbed track bumps better.
Combined with the barrel springs made for a very planted car.
Local driver Fabio commented after having a few laps "your car feels like it sucks to the ground"
6mm hex widened the track for better leverage on the suspension without compromising rotation.
More detailed pics included for your pleasure.
