Florian Joos has just made his first A main in the Longwy winter series held in northern France on high grip carpet. There were 120 cars racing, with 50 in his category (10.5).

He faced some serious competition but qualified in 7th. He was a bit unlucky as he had a coming together at the start in two of the 3 finals, but still took 10th (with 3 9th places), but was only .3 adrift from the fastest laptimes. The car still under-steers a little and the inner chassis stiffener is going to be fitted onto the car to see if it makes a difference.

The main changes that David Joos (Father and mechanic) made from the earlier set-up are:
  • Softer oil (400 in the front, 450 in the back)
  • TRF419X floating steering mount
  • Rear arms still a bit further forward (only 1mm spacer on the rear front blocks)
  • Removed the front 0.5 bulkhead spacer to make the car roll deeper and give a bit more steering.
