Last weekend the West London Race Centre hosted the final round of the BTCC touring car championship. Daniel Booker was racing his Tamiya TRF419X in the stock 17.5 class, with the hope of taking the overall championship.
He was the only TRF driver at the event but he expertly drove his Fantom powered TRF419X to have the perfect weekend as he TQ'd every round and won the final against some very strong competition.
Check out the video of the final here:
So it's a great victory for Daniel and one that has also given him the championship.
Daniel has been working on the set-up for his car for sometime, and has found that the narrower front blocks and changed roll centres ensured that his car felt really planted on the track without overheating the tyres. This gave his a great deal of confidence when racing and ensured that he was able to keep on the throttle all the way until the chequered flag.
It's been great fun for me as well, Daniel has been using some of the custom parts I have made and has a few new ones now that he is trying out on his TRF419X ;) More info on these soon,
