Running his Tamiya TRF419 XR for the last time on Black carpet before switching to asphalt he had a great time racing, and managed to hook up the chassis to improve the speed of the car over the course of the event. Here is his summary of the race and the set-up.

There was czech national this weekend, same location same track layout! I installed The Tamiya TRF419 XR conversion to alloy chassis, torque link, damper 550fr/600r, spring 3.0 all around and got 0.2 sec improvement vs last mibo race !

loosing speed in second half of the race was driven by 1.4g oil in diff. This weight was too low so I filled up as per manual. Overall 1-3sec gap from top 2 over the 5 mintute race! The chassis is excellent.

One note, with this setup the car is quite stiff and it uses a lot of energy in the tyres, so they will need need gluing so check them after each races. Others (Xray) dont need to glue ! If i wasn't so tired - (My previous week didn't give me much sleep) I know I would have made less mistakes and I would be even closer to to Oliver (2nd overall). One run he flipped and I could hold him , the other ran i followed him for few laps with no gap but I flipped ;(. Its time to rest and prepare the car for outdoor.
