UK: Kerswell fast with Serpent 411 at UK Nats

Brief report from Kerswell: The Aldershot national went fairly well this weekend.

I TQed 3 of the 5 rounds, Unfortunately being disqualified from one of them due to being 3g underweight as some lead fell off :-( . This meant I ended up qualifying 2nd behind Elliot and ahead of Chris, Andy and Olly – clearly a very strong qualifying and there was a lot of talk on the pits about how well the car was going!

The finals didn’t go as well, I ended up 5th due to getting hit from behind in final 1 and recovering to 4th, tagging elliot in the second final and having to wait and for some reason in the 3rd final the car had no grip for the first 2 laps, possibly due to cooler tyres?

Overall it was clear the 411 car was fast and it definitely got us noticed as a force to be reckoned with!

The next national is at Mendip in a few weeks time and we will be testing there for two days the week after I get back from holiday!

Serpent S411 Impresses at BRCA Nationals

The all-new Serpent S411 continued to show its outstanding potential at round 4 of the BRCA Electric Touring Car Nationals at Aldershot last weekend.

In the modified class, Chris Kerswell ran at the front throughout the 5 qualifying rounds and would line up an impressive 2nd on the grid behind Worlds podium finisher Elliott Harper for the 3-leg A final. Chris set the fastest time in two of the qualifiers and would have started on pole were it not for a minor technical infringement that cost him a decisive 3rd round win. Chris Grainger qualified 3rd ahead of Andy Moore and Olly Jefferies.
