Essex Winter Series - 17-12-23 Round 2
We were greeted with a great track layout for Round 2 of EWS. Looked very technical at first glance, but still had a nice flow to it, well done again EWS team.
After sitting 8th after the practice Round which is determined by your 3 fastest consecutive laps (never my strong point) I was feeling more confident than before after a lot of small changes to my Schumacher FT8 over the past weeks.
Round 1 after driving too hard I placed 7th in round, so a good banker to start with.
Round 2 was one of those out of body experiences as I was winning this leg for a few laps 😱 eventually finishing 3rd in round which was the best feeling ever, the FT8 was on 🔥 today 👊🏻
Rounds 3 and 4 I placed 5th in both rounds so secured 5th overall for the 1 leg A Final.
More than happy with this result and didn't have to make any changes to the FT8 all day which was a pleasure to drive.
The qualifying was so close all day and it would take mistakes from those in front to make any places up the finals, but it was a clean run for everyone so crusied home to take 5th overall which was still a great result in such a competitive field of drivers.
Many thanks to the EWS team for another great race meeting, to all my Ti22 Team mates for some great laughs in the pits all day.
Well done to Darryl Osborne and Craig Woods on two great performances 👏
A few notable changes: ESC moved behind lipo for balance with the Intellect 4800. Gorilla bodyshell. 20g weight in bumper.
Many thanks to all of these great sponsors ⬇️
