Roche P12V2 - Roche P12 is a former World Champion and multiple champion from all regions.
Always nice presentation from Roche
Last bag with the decals, chassis plate and manual barcode. This is a welcome industry change. Less waste and expense.
Press the aluminium balls in through the larger diameter side of the side links.
Next install the screws and tighten until the balls are still free without any binding
Prepping the side plates. Japanese team developers Masahiro Hori, Shota Watanabe and Hayato Ishioka, recently shared several build tips. Here an M3x6 screw is used to press the threaded insert into the plate.
Side links attached to plates.
NOTE: I am using spare GR.5 Titanium UFO screws from Pitlane-R.A.B. Hobbies.
The 2 piece Aluminium Chassis and CNC recessed tray mount the Lipo as low as possible. Only 0.5mm from the bottom of the chassis. This has been a proven LCG design feature and borrowed from other designs such as the Bezerk, Litesabre Pro-10. The effort to maximise ground clearance is clearly visible. Integrated front suspension and bumper mounting points.
Pivot Plate assembly. The recommended roll centre adjustment is 0.5mm. Standard kit setup is a 0.5mm stainless shim fitted to the pivot plate. No shims are fitted to the roll centre plate but are included
Use a quality anti wear grease to lubricate the ball and mount. I've used the "PEPE" brand grease from Speedyrc. Any joint grease will be fine.
Pod plate assembly fitted to side links. Continually check for any binding.
Very smooth design.

Pod bulkheads fitted to the carbon brace. Locator dowel pins further minimise tweak.
6x 0.3mm stainless steel ride height shims are included. 0.1mm shims are optional #230341
Left bulkhead features a relief for endbell clearance.
Very simple, robust and efficient.
A small black and silver objectRear pod width reduction is evident.
Team Powers Actinium 3.5.
A black rectangular object with metal partsPod assembly fitted to the pivot plate with two easily accessed screws.
Pod Fitted to the Pivot Plate. Efficient minimal ground contact design.
Body/Spring mount side plates and aluminium spring retainers.
The grub screws are pre-treated with blue thread lock paste, nice touch. The locator pins can fit in two optional holes which dictate a wide(firm) or narrow(soft) side spring setting.
Further detail is visible in the following five images from the Japanese team developers. The right (left in above image) is also fitted with a single m2.5 screw and nut to attach the side tube. Pay attention to suggested side spring grub screw length.
In race ready trim, side springs "touching" the plate is always a good start and easiest to de-tweak.

My first on-road kit was a Bolink Eliminator sport when it was new in 1991. Effectively a similar kingpin arm plate system. Great to see these suspension styles re-imagined over the last 5 years.
I've fitted large diameter 0.3 spring steel washers and 1mm carbon washers for a little reinforcement.
Aluminium servo mounts fitted. Maximum servo size is 29x29x13.5mm
Optional Aluminium servo saver plate(Xray) #310301
Small o-rings are fitted to the axle flange bearings. They cushion against small
Impacts and vibrations.
