Feeling good about getting my B7 Reedy 610R carpet settings dialed in for the season.

I've been pretty happy with the feel of this package and tend to tune the mechanical timing of the motor along with the turbo depending on track size and conditions. Yes, I ran my motor timing at 2*. It's a great way to de-tune the overall power this was a great change for the tight, tricky layout at Coastal RC. Indoor Speedway and Hobbies.

Then for the faster, higher grip at PDX RC Underground with the JConcepts Inc Nessi tires I needed some more overall power, so I increased the timing to 10* and added two more degrees of turbo from 20 to 22 while increasing the Brake Dual Rate to 92% on my Futaba 10TPX. The rest stayed the same as the sheet attached.

For the slipper, I used the #92285 FT Octalock LCF Slipper Pads, 11mm with the new #92451 FT Vented Slipper Plates and the #91891 HD Slipper Spring. I set the tension so the front tires lifted about 2mm off the bench.

Getting comfortable with your power deliver is a huge piece of any race car and with the Reedy Blackbox there are lots of tuning options. I suggest dedicating at least one practice day per season to learning the settings and how they relate to each other so you can make educated adjustments during events where you don't get a lot of time to test.
