This week it was finally time to build my very own production SP2. I've been looking forward to it for a while, as most of the cars I built leading up to the SP2 release went to our team drivers. So finally, a car for myself - and I decided to make it as tricked out in bronze as I possibly could!

Jeff Hamon and I are off to Huge R/C Circuit next week for some World's testing for the team, followed by ETS in Andernach, Germany! (where ill be reduced to mechanic duties - sticking to my strengths) There's a couple of things I installed from the get go for the super high traction asphalt Huge RC track. Firstly, 1.2mm Spring Steel Chassis for the high traction to keep the CG as low as possible, and secondly, our new long upper turnbuckle setup. This takes away initial bite in high grip and makes the car easier to drive and carry more corner speed. Its something we tested back to back a lot throughout the past 8 months at TITC, ETS, Euros etc and found ourselves liking it a lot on flowing or high traction tracks! These parts will be released officially very soon!

I decked the whole car out in INOV8 RC Bronze Aluminium screws which I personally think makes the entire build (and saves a massive 18g)! If blacked out is your thing, we also have them in black.

Here's a complete list of what I used for the build:

RC MAKER:
2064-1 - Bronze Eccentrics - 2 Packs
2139 - Hub Crush Washers - 2 Packs
2142B - Bronze M3 Inserts - 3 Packs
2148 - Adjustable Front Hood Support
Prototype Rear Body Support which will be released soon!
3136 - 3D Honeycomb Front Bumper
5026 - Front Centre Weight (18g)
8018 - 4.5x1.2mm O-Rings (which are used on the inner suspension arms instead of 1021 Carbon Clips) - 2 Packs

INOV8 RC:
40006 - Front Body Height Adjusters
40011BR - M2x4 Large Head Button Head Screws - 1 Pack
40012 BR - M2x6 Button Head - 3 Packs
40013 BR - M2.5x5 Button Head - 1 Pack
40014BR - M3x5 Button Head - 3 Packs
40015BR - M3x5 Large Head Button Head - 1 Pack
40016BR - M3x6 Button Head - 3 Packs
40017BR - M3x8 Button Head - 2 Packs
40018BR - M3x10 Button Head - 1 Pack
40019BR - M3x12 Button Head - 1 Pack
40020BR - M3x16 Button Head - 1 Pack

The car comes in at 1280g race ready on the steel chassis, without any weight and a 250g GensAce Battery. IFMAR WC is 1320g, hence I opted for the 5026 Front Centre Weight and may also add some tungsten just in front of that, as we're targeting a slightly forward weight bias on this high traction.

Always loving the super clean Hobbywing G3 ESC and Motor, and MKS HBL575SL Servo. Massive thankyou to Hobbywing & Nick Mks Li for their continued support for this semi-retired driver.
Hope you enjoy the photos of this beast, it was an absolute pleasure to build.... so amazing to see so many great comments about the quality of the SP2, which is something I worked tirelessly on perfecting; safe to say im very proud of this car! I'm looking forward to getting behind the wheel again with it next week!
