When we first set up the four demo chassis, we quickly discovered the track was carrying a lot of dust something that became immediately obvious when the first kart came off the track with foam tyres completely covered in dust!

Dusty tracks are pretty much the kryptonite of foam tyre equipped chassis, and the first few laps were certainly challenging.

We quickly adapted the setup to suit the conditions, adding some toe-in to the front, and also increased the front caster by fitting the optional 1mm shims under the lower screw hole of the front arms. This improved things considerably, and as the track cleaned up we were able to move back towards a more favourable 0.5° toe-out setting.
We also found that running the narrowest rear track width adjustment helped improve drivability in the low-grip conditions.
Once the track had cleaned up and the surface started to come in, we could return to a more normal setup.

The increased grip made a huge difference and the demo races became much more enjoyable, with some impressive laps demonstrated by Tim Boundy, Aleandro De Lorso, Tim Forster, and Geelong young gun Max Boxer.

We also put some testing laps in with a 2S / 21.5T setup. The Geelong track proved to be a little too small to really make the most of that combination, with the fastest laps of the evening ultimately coming from the 1S / 13.5T setup.
