Tech update on my Thailand International Touring Car Championship TITC winning car!
As most of you know, Tim Wahl built this beast for me. Once again I have to thank him for his dedication and perfect preparation!
Regarding the setups, the main issue on this track and high grip conditions was to get a car that is easy to drive in the first and last minute without flipping at first or loosing too much steering end of the run.

To reach this, the main changes were:

  • Reduced rear caster (1° instead of more common 2° or even 2,5°) -> we wanted to have a rear end that is more flowing through the corner not being too edgy and loosing cornerspeed
  • 0.5 Bodyshell (instead of the 0.4 we planned to use) -> 0.5 was easier to drive and handling better over the bumps. I am still unsure as this does not match what we thought would happen if you use a heavier bodyshell, but there are always things to learn! This changes was the reason why I did not run racepaint starting with the qualies, as I only brought 0.4 racepaint...sorry for that!
  • 0% drag brake on the speedo -> unusual for modified / stock boosted, but we found this to be easier to drive going onto the straight. Thats why we kept it as those two corners were crucial and its better to have highest possible confidence in the car.
