I have done the following for outdoor British Radio Car Association Nationals; this will be my first time getting involved and also first time to the Cots track!

  • Swapped to C01FXR-C chassis.
  • Installed the new ABM RC - Amy Booth Models LTD LP1 servo
  • Installed Team Zombie 30mm fan
  • Swapped to HW G3 esc (BRCA)
  • Swapped to 4.51 FDR (102/43)
  • Amended oils and rollcentres for outdoor racing.

    • Something to note; the FXR has a fan mount AT139; when using the optional single piece top deck this mount will not fit to the car as the single piece top deck overlaps. You can get arround this by shimming exactly 2.25mm before the mount to push out the fan enough for it to fit leaving around 1mm for the top deck to flex.
    Biggest 2 changes yielded huge time improvements:
  • Diff to 500k; would have gone higher but didnt have anything.
  • Split top deck with full cuts.
