Team Associated’s new Factory Team TC4 already has a big win before the kits had been boxed.
Team Associated’s U.K. driving star Craig Drescher won the prestigious
invitational Touring Car class at the 2005 Reedy International Race of
Champions. Craig beat the world’s best drivers, chassis, and motor builders
in the industry to take the overall win.
This was Associated's first race with the Factory Team TC4 and the entire
team was impressed with the level of performance and adjustability provided
by the new chassis design, and Craig winning the event was truly, “icing on
the cake”!
The FT TC4 marks a milestone in electric touring car development by allowing
maximum chassis stiffness adjustability without replacing the main chassis.
It features a double deck 2.5mm woven carbon fiber chassis that incorporates
an adjustable carbon fiber spine plate. The chassis spine plate allows an
extremely wide range of chassis stiffness adjustment in small increments.
This allows the chassis to be dialed in for high grip carpet racing or for
low grip parking lot racing and everything in between. In addition to the
spine plate, there are four blue aluminum chassis brace standoffs that allow
even more chassis stiffness adjustment.
Racers around the world will appreciate that they do not need to disassemble
their entire car or shell out more cash in order to change the chassis
stiffness of the Factory Team TC4. Just make the adjustments to the chassis
spine plate or standoffs and you’re dialed.
If all these tuning options were not enough, we included two, three-piece
anti-roll bar kits for the front and rear of the FT TC4.
Another major tuning option included in the FT TC4 is that you can choose
between two types of differentials, based on the class of racing you
participate in. The lightweight composite diffs provide increased
acceleration in 19 turn or stock class racing. The lightened, steel
differentials easily tolerate the very high demands for strength which
modified racing requires.
This kit will convert a TC4 RTR or TC4 Team kit to Factory Team specs.
Team Associated’s RC10TC4 RTR: taking the wild success of the TC3 RTR to the
next level.
Team Associated’s RC10TC4 Touring Car is the refinement of the revolutionary
TC3 platform, optimized with more precise tuning features, better balance,
and greater durability.
Team Associated takes full advantage of all these improvements and combines
them to bring you the RC10TC4 RTR. The TC4 RTR features include a Reedy
Radon 17-turn motor, LRP’s latest Ai automatic speed control
and Team Associated's XP radio system, all factory assembled.
The TC4 RTR also comes with treaded tires mounted on chrome 8-spoke wheels,
composite CVDs, ball diffs, VCS oil-filled composite shocks and a cool
street-tuner decal sheet. All that’s left for you to do is to add your
batteries and get ready to lay down the rubber.
The TC4 RTR is supported by a full line of “Factory Team” performance
parts, including blue titanium turnbuckles, optional radial heatsinks, a
motor air-duct cooling system, and a full range of carbon chassis
components.

Up
front, the TC4 features the double-decked impact-resistant plastic and
lightweight foam bumper system adopted from the Nitro TC3. The shock towers
have also been redesigned for greater strength, and now have four upper
shock mounting hole options. The rear body mounts have also been relocated
outward on the shock tower to give wider support to the body.
The drive train of the TC4 has received many refinements, including a new
design 6061 T6 blue anodized aluminum drive shaft that fits in stronger,
beefed-up composite drive cups. The included genuine Kimbrough 72-tooth spur
gear mounts on a more secure, 3-bolt hub with 6 mounting positions to fit
most any spur gear. The blue aluminum MIP CVD’s have also been upgraded from
the previous-generation TC3, and are now thicker and 3 times stronger for
maximum resistance to bending. The molded composite wheel hex drives now
feature a “star drive” shape which allows more exact manufacturing
tolerances, and a more precise fit with most standard touring car wheels.
The TC4 comes standard with blue anodized aluminum threaded shock bodies, a
feature previously included only on the Factory Team level kits. The steering system has also been optimized, and now features a new dual-bellcrank/rack configuration similar to the Nitro TC3. This ball-bearing supported system is less susceptible to capturing track debris that could bind up the rack’s movement, and also features an integral spring-loaded servo saver and Ackerman adjustments using the optional ballstud spacers.
