The Team Associated .12 and .15 pull start engines are ABC engines, having an Aluminum piston with a Brass sleeve, Chrome plated. They have TRUE 90° porting. If you've ever looked into the exhaust ports of some other engines, you've noticed that the exhaust port in the sleeve is not lined up with the exhaust port in the crankcase. It's cheaper to manufacture that way, but it also cuts down on horsepower. In Associated's engine's exhaust port, the sleeve lines up perfectly with the exhaust port in the crankcase. The 90° porting enables the intake ports to be correctly aligned for better air flow, too. All this means more horsepower to you.
Associated's Engine Replacement Policy means you (as the original owner of any size AE engine) will be able to replace your old, worn-out engine for a new one for only half the manufacturer's suggested retail cost! This policy replaces like for like--.12 for a .12, for example, not .12 to .15. No upgrades.
You can transfer your GT engine to the GT2. Here's how: —If you have a GT RTR, which has our #2916 AE engine, you'll need our #29006 SG crankshaft to adapt the engine to use on the GT2. —If you have a threaded crankshaft engine in your GT kit, you'll need the #2312 NTC3 clutch nut to use your engine in a GT2. —You can use whatever side exhaust style manifold and muffler combination you ran on your old GT, as long as the muffler has a mount on the tip that is compatible with the muffler mount wire on the GT2. —If your GT motor is side exhaust, it can be used in the GT2 with the proper accompanying hardware (#2312 clutch nut and AE side exhaust manifold: #7735 pullstart or #7736 non-pullstart). —If your current muffler does not have a mount on it, then you should use the FT blue muffler with the mount on it that comes with the FT GT2. |

crankshaft. Universal crankshaft fits all 1:10 on and off road cars. This engine with its universal crankshaft can fit all 1:10 on road and off road kits. The included GT clutch nut allows you to fit the #2916 engine in the GT. With the included threaded shaft it will fit your GT2 when you add the #2312 clutch nut adapter.
