Content & Data Reuse Guidelines
Thank you for visiting PetitRC. For nearly three decades, PetitRC has served as a free, community-driven archive for RC racing setup sheets, technical guides, and manuals.
Maintaining this database requires thousands of hours of manual organization, curation, classification, and hosting infrastructure. While individual setup sheets originate from drivers and manufacturers, the database structure, categorization, hosting, and presentation are the intellectual property of Arno under the hosting of PetitRC.
If you wish to share, reference, or use material hosted by PetitRC, please adhere to the following guidelines:
-
What IS Allowed (With Proper Attribution)
-
Direct Linking: You are welcome to link directly to any page, setup sheet, manual, or resource on PetitRC from your website, forum, or social media channels.
-
Personal & Community Sharing: Drivers, track owners, and clubs may download and print setup sheets for personal use, trackside reference, or local club sharing, provided the PetitRC branding/watermarks remain intact.
-
What IS NOT Allowed (Strictly Prohibited)
-
Automated Scraping and Data Harvesting: Using bots, scripts, crawlers, or programmatic tools to harvest, mirror, or copy entire directories, categories, or the bulk database of setup sheets is strictly forbidden.
-
Wholesale Redistribution: Re-hosting PetitRC PDFs, or structured data files on another website, mobile app, cloud folder, or public repository as your own content is prohibited.
-
Plagiarism / Unattributed Copying: Copying descriptive text, technical guides, or categorized layout structures without clear, prominent attribution and a direct hyperlink back to the original PetitRC source page.
-
Policy for Developers and App Creators
-
Building tools for the RC community is encouraged, but leeching database content is not.
-
If you are developing an RC-related app or website and wish to reference data from PetitRC, you must use outbound links that direct users back to PetitRC rather than duplicating files onto your own servers.
-
Bulk data requests or API-style access are not supported. Unauthorized scrapers will have their IP addresses blocked.
-
Reporting Violations or Asking Permission
-
If you are unsure whether your intended use crosses the line, or if you spot a third-party website or app that has scraped PetitRC content without permission, please contact us directly.
