- Alexander Hagberg - Tech Tips - Rear Body Support -

When using vertical bodyposts on your XRAY X4 or T4, you can use part number 331340 (Composite Rear Body Backstops that were originally made for the NT1) to better support the body in the rear. This is especially important for modified racing, but also for spec racing when using ultra light bodies. Adding the rear supports will help prevent body tucks, but will also improve the aero efficency of the shell as it won't fold down as far in the rear when on-power, and when driving at high speeds. The post should be close to the body (approx 1-2mm of gap), but should NOT be touching it.

An often overlooked option part which I really recommend for when running horizontal body mounts: hard body posts. Part number 301322-H. These posts are significantly stiffer than the standard posts, which will improve consistency and aero efficiency. You can even run these at the front end of the car, for which the reduced flex will improve the initial response/precision of the steering. But - keep in mind that since they're stiffer, they're also a bit more fragile. This is a very affordable option part which I recommend for anyone using horizontal rear body mounts.
