Automatic Brushless/Brushed Adaptation

NOSRAM exclusive! The Automatic Brushless/Brushed Adaptation pushes the convenient use of Brushless and Brushed Motors to the next level.

The automatic function detects the connected motor type and adjusts the correct brushless or brushed mode automatically without any switching or adjustment by the user! Therefore no more manual setups are required after changing the motor type. The NOSRAM MATRUX EVOLUTION Brushless + Brushed will do this for you automatically!

Enhanced Digital with 4 adjustable modes

The NOSRAM MATRIX EVOLUTION Brushless+Brushed features four Nosram Razor Evolution style modes which now enable the driver to adjust motor power, driving-‘feel’ in addition to the brake-‘feel’ adjustment already available in the original MATRIX Brushless+Brushed speed control.

This means Razor Evolution style adjustments for brushless motors AND brushed motors!

2.1 X.P.S.2 (Xtreme Phase System) power profiles for brushless motors

The NOSRAM engineers developed 6 all new XPS.2 power profiles to adjust the MATRIX EVOLUTION to all track conditions perfectly.

XPS.2 – Xtreme Phase Control is an all new brushless technology which results in more power and better driveability. Depending on the status of the car (start, acceleration out of a corner and full speed on the straight) the XPS.2 software calculates the perfect motor management.

3. Initial Brake:

The MATRIX EVOLUTION speed control offers a Razor Evolution style Initial Brake adjustment for both brushless and brushed motors. 6 levels can be set from level-1 (linear brake) to level-6 (very aggressive brake).

Initial Brake allows the driver to set a certain level of “hand-brake effect”, i.e. the driver can vary the minimum brake effect when applying the brakes.

4. Automatic Brake:

The MATRIX EVOLUTION speed control offers a Razor Evolution style Automatic Brake adjustment for both brushless and brushed motors. 6 levels can be set from level-0 (no Auto Brake) to level-6 (Max Auto Brake).

FreezeDrive Design

NOSRAM’s secret FreezeDrive Design results in lower speedo temperature under all racing conditions. Sorry, no further details to be disclosed. Simply a step ahead of the competition!

Forward/Brake

The development target for the NOSRAM MATRIX EVOLUTION speed control was uncompromising and outstanding performance in top level RC competition racing. In order to achieve this goal, the NOSRAM engineering department had to develop a pure forward/racing brake design speed control without reverse function.

SmartCell System – NiMH-LiPo automatic adaptation

The NOSRAM MATRIX EVOLUTION is ready for the next battery technology – LiPo batteries!

NOSRAM’s exclusive SmartCell System ensures that LiPo batteries can be used safely.

Sensored Design

The development target for the NOSRAM MATRIX EVOLUTION speed control was uncompromising and outstanding performance in top level RC competition racing. In order to achieve this goal, the NOSRAM engineering department had to develop a sensored design. Based on intensive design studies and track testing, this is the only way to achieve the proportionality, drive feel and brake feel with a brushless motor as top drivers are used to from their brushed motors.

3.0A BEC

The MATRIX EVOLUTION features a high performance, 3.0A BEC. Strong and reliable to power all available servos, receivers and personal transponders.

External solder tabs

Due to the external solder tabs the power wires of the NOSRAM Matrix can be replaced in seconds. Therefore it is simple to use the speedo in numerous cars.

13AWG power wires

The development target for the NOSRAM MATRIX EVOLUTION speed control was uncompromising and outstanding performance in top level RC competition racing.

In order to achieve this goal, the NOSRAM engineering department decided to use high performance 13AWG power wires as used in the Dominator evolution  without any connectors.
