The TRF component systems of Tamiya are in 1:10 - electrical smooth course route car classes already for years very successfully. The chassis
The structure of the TRF 415 ms does not bring much new. An extraordinarily torsionally stiff carbon double cover construction with 2.5 millimeters strong chassis and two millimeters a strong upper deck form the basis. One finds the reaming for the Akkupack on the right side. Engine, servo, automatic controllers and receivers are arranged on the left side. At the front axle one continues to trust in the proven C-stroke-system. This C-stroke are attached to the component system in the wake variants two degrees and four degrees. Assembly
Over the quality of the building guidance still further praising words do not have to be lost. The description of the sections is excellent, so that the assembly is to be created also for an untrained model construction amateur in to two evenings. Praising to mention is here also the quality of the parts. There is not necessary up to removing the usual injection moulding remainders at the plastic parts and rounding the sharp Cjhassiskanten off by means of Dremel and Schlüsselfeilen reworks. One should dedicate however little time to sharpening and following sealing of the chassis and all other carbon parts with second adhesive. The edges of the milled parts are naturally quite sharp edged. Apart from the danger of injury one reduces also the risk that the carbon layers separate with more intensive enemy contact from each other and the expensive parts are destroyed in such a way. The reaming for the Akkus should be chamfered from above with a file so far, which the Akkus at the lower surface locks concisely with the chassis. This provides on the one hand for a better seat of the cells and lowers on the other hand the vehicle emphasis. The register accuracy of all parts is excellent, so that for example the wishbones move extremely low-friction and free from play in their carriers.

The TRF was completely installed after a long evening. After the remote control was inserted, it applied to apply now still another according to rank lacquer finish on the Protoform-Mazda-6-Karosserie, before it could go to the first test.

TRACK test
Equipped with the short Futaba-9550-Servo, a Hara Twister2-Regler, a Peak-Vantage-12x2-Surikarn-Edition-Motor, a Peak-PowerFlo-SP2-Akku and Sorex-28-Reifen was then to the first Rollout on the Trainigsstrecke of the SLR Ingolstadt. The distance consists of Nadelfilz and distance delimitations of wood. There the layout of the course for a 1:10 - gate car is too closely held, needs the 415 ms much steering element. Therefore the absorbers got again a steeper angle and the front Stabi moved into the spare part crate. A small inspection after the tests did not point any damages at the vehicle to my astonishment. A complete disassembly of the chassis after the intensive tests should show, how it stands around the wear of the TRF 415 ms. However no excessive manifestations of wear could be determined. Only the Differenzial and the absorbers should be examined regularly.

Really world masterfully?
The policy of the company Tamiya stands out in the frequency, in which new models are brought on the market, clearly against the competition. With the model designation TRF 415 ms one expects first „only “an evolution stage of the TRF 415. With the exact Hinsehen one recognizes however a completely new wheel suspension, which was taken over as far as possible by the Tamiya TB Evo 4. Also the propulsion principle was consistently developed further with the new, white light run belts. The target group of the TRF 415 ms is reliably the ambitionierte competition driver. Countless successes and above all the world champion title prove this. By an excellent Baukastensetup and the easy, uncritical controllableness of the vehicle is the kit however also for competition A RISERs and hobby driver a genuine alternative.
