Having installed and now running a Kyosho SC gear diff in my TC02C a number of people have asked how.

Here is the list you need:

First modify the gearbox by elongating the 4 mounting holes toward the gearbox join and also the shock tower mounting holes - all by .5mm

Assemble the diff as you would normally but substitute the 5x8x0.1mm Shim in place of the standard kyosho shim and use the 1.5x8mm Pin in the back of the sun gears throught the outdrives - the pins are too small but build the diff and all will be good.

I fill my diff with black grease.

Then build the gearbox with .5mm shims on all internal shafts (2 idlers shims outside bearings and slipper shaft shims inboard of bearings) - and then space the gearbox halves with 1mm spacers - I used some 3 racing ones I had lying around. Then reassemble the rest of the motorplate and slipper assembly.

Next break out the dremel and modify the T-plate removing .5mm from marked areas - test gearbox fit as you go dont make it tight or it will pinch the diff geear.

Modify the shock tower mount by removing .5mm from each side (marked areas) so the gearbox fits between easily - test over gearbox as you go.

Reassemble and its done! Easy
