What a long day of racing. I
think entries were 140+. 3 heats of 2wd mod. Managed a decent run to get
in the A. Not bad for just one pack of practice. The track was sandy
dirt, much different then my local track. Built into a hill with about
10+ft of elevation change from the highest to the lowest part of the
track!
I got caught up in the first
turn carnage and wound up in last place after the first lap. Anyways I
think I made up enough ground to finish maybe 6th or 7th. Not bad in my
mind for lack of practice and no issues all day! There were some heavy
hitters in this class with many others that had a full days practice on
Fri.
After our Amain run
together. Paul Sinclair from Xfactory came over and looked over my car.
Wow this guy knows his stuff. He gave me some ideas to try. What a cool
guy. I'll be picking his mind more in the future.
My car actually pushed in
the morning. So I went to 3.0lb front springs. Didn't have much chance
to try things, but it felt good. The car was better than I was.
