MAC Vlijmen Winter Championship 2015/2016

The MAC Vlijmen Winter Championship is a series of indoor races on dirt. The surface is very loose, there are a few low, shorty jumps and the track gets very bumpy throughout the day.
After winning the 2WD title in 2014-2015 with the FWD prototype, the start of the 2015-2016 would see the title defence with the production version FF210.
Right from the first lap the car just felt right, and the car was noticably more refined than the prototype, being both very predictable and smooth through the corners yet agressive when necessary.

Some key features to the setup preparation for the race were:
- 2.5wt softer oil front & rear compared to the the summer-season to compensate for the lower temperatures.
- Shims between hex and wheel to widen the car as close to the 250mm as possible up front; a little less on the rear to help rotation and steering of the car.
- No stabilizers to improve bump handling and maximize sideways bite.

During the racing day it was found that the car could benefit from more acceleration, which was achieved by moving the battery forward. With this, the car had some more acceleration and very balanced, although compared to the rearward battery position the car missed some pendulum effect to slide out the rear end into corners, reducing corner entry speeds.

All in all, the car felt amazing and the combination of quick lap times and superior consistency set the bar very high, claiming TQ and the win in the first round!
