Bag A-2 Parts


Steering Bell Crank system assembled


Front camber block and steering assembly installed to bulkhead.

Tuning Option - TLR6032 Titanium Ball Studs, 10mm are available to save weight and increase strength.


Bag B-1 Parts


Front Spindle Assembly, using 12mm front axles. These are still the SC2 or Bell Cranks spindles with 4mm of trail.

Tuning Option - TLR332055 Aluminum Front Axle Set is available as a tuning option to drop nearly 5 grams of unsprung and rotating mass.


New VLA front caster blocks installed to spindles. 5 degree caster blocks included in the kit.

Tuning Option - TLR234049 - 0 deg caster blocks are available as a tuning option to increase entry steering.

Tuning Option - TLR6032 Titanium Ball Studs, 10mm are available to save weight and increase strength.


Front caster block/spindle assembly mounted to VLA front arms. Pay close attention to thread the 22-4 king pin screws in straight to ensure free suspension movement.


Bag B-2 Parts


Camber and steering tie rods installed. The 22 3.0 now included the HD turnbuckles from the start.

Tuning Option - TLR334016 Titanium Turnbuckle kit is a drop in solution to shave weight and add strength

Pro tip. When building tie rods put a small chamfer in the hole with your body reamer to help start the tie rod into the cup. TLR HD cups already have this lead in but I have found just a small chamfer with your body reamer helps get things started much easier


Front shock tower and shock mounts installed.

Tuning Option - TLR4166 Titanium Shock Mount Set is availalbe to increase strength and reduce weight.


Front Bumper Installed

Bag C-1 Parts


Rear CVA and Hub assembly. The 22 3.0 uses the 2.0 rear hub and CVA, with a new STD off-set molded hex for less rotating mass.

Tuning Option - TLR2930 Aluminum Hex, Standard will increase rotating mass slightly, but does clamp to the axle

Tuning Option - TLR6032 Titanium Ball Studs, 10mm are available to save weight and increase strength.


The all new 22 3.0 Rear Arm is installed to the hub assembly.


Bag C-2 Parts


New aluminum rear pivots have adjustable pill style inserts to adjust anti-squat (0-3 deg) and toe (2.5-4 deg) both in 0.5 deg increments.

Tuning Options:
TLR334033 - HRC Pivot Set to reduce bone plunge of higher grip surfaces.
TLR334034 - LRC -2 Deg Toe plate reduces the rear toe adjustment range to 0.5-2.0 deg.
TLR334036 - HRC -2 Deg Toe plate reduces the rear toe adjustment range to 0.5-2.0 deg.


All new rear shock tower, and one-piece wing mount.

Tuning Option - TLR4166 Titanium Shock Mount Set is availalbe to increase strength and reduce weight.


Adjustable rear camber block installed to rear tower. Great innovation to easy and quick setup changes.

Tuning Option - TLR6030 Titanium Ball Studs, 6mm are available to save weight and increase strength.


Rear shock tower and toe plate assembled to chassis.


Rear arm assemblies, anti-squat block and turnbuckles installed to chassis.

Pro tip: don't tighten the rear two screw that hold the rear tower and pivot in place until you get the front pivot in place and then snug all the screws down.

Bag D-2 Parts


Complete and udpate ball diff (Bag D-1)


3-Gear transmission with standard aluminum top shaft and milled motor plate both included. Be sure to put a little black grease on the idler gear.

Tuning Option - TLR332054 4-Gear Coversion Kit will help to reverse the rotational force of the motor to increase rear grip for medium to low bite tracks.


Transmission completed with diff installed.


Bag D-3 Parts


Heavy Duty Slipper (HDS) installed, with the stock 78t spur.

Tuning Option - TLR has 70, 76, 82, 84, 86 spurs available.


3-Gear Tranny installed to chassis


Bag E-1 parts


Short lower cartridge assembled with tight tolerance machined bushings


Pro tip: compare your shocks when you put them together to get the shock collars to the same height when assembling your shocks. No measuring needed.


Shock shafts with machined pistons installed. 2x1.5mm for the front, and 2x1.6mm for the rear.

Tuning Option - TLR offers, 2x1.5, 2x1.6, 2x1.7, 3x1.3, 3x1.4 and blank pistons to a full range of tuning options


Bag E-2 parts


Aluminum bleeder shock caps included, as well as Low Frequency springs. Silver fronts, and yellow rears included in the kit.

Tuning Option - TLR233012/TLR233013 Low Frequency Spring Set, Front/Rear will give you the full range of TLR low frequency springs with super close rates to optimize setup for all track conditions.


Pro tip: Write on your shocks the pistons and shock oil so you can remember your setup. Helps a ton of you have multiple cars. Fine tip sharpie works great. Wipes off with a little motor spray.

Close look at the shock mounting positions on the front arm. You can now move your shock location without the droop of the wheel changing.

Bag F-1 parts


All new adjustable battery strap with stops installed. When running the rear most battery positions, the rear mount will need to be removed.


Battery Strap and chassis brace installed


I chose an Orion Shorty 4500mAh 100C pack


Rear wing installation, for the 22 3.0, use the middle set of mounting dimples.


Racer Tip - use steel wool to scuff up the wing surface for a cool frosted look.


All done!

Tuning Parts - TLR offers yellow and white wheels, as well as 61mm wheels in white and yellow for maximum tuning adjustments.
