On this setup..it's noted for slicks. I know a lot guys at this track (myself included) run Panther slicks or shave others to slicks.
Do you know if Dustin shaved the Dirt Webs to slicks?

Yes, Dirt Web slicks. We both ran them, and they work great. The Panther slicks save you a some time for sure, but I don't think the shape of the tire is ideal. If you run them, you'll likely need to tune the setup a bit.

Doug Nielsen:
The fronts are a little tall and the rears are not too bad. One of the other benefits of the panther slicks is there is rubber on them. Making ground down slicks mean a thin layer of rubber left behind and you get the rubber band effect to the tire as it snaps as the rubber is too thin to support the loads. If you do run panther slicks it is a good idea to scuff them some with a dremel or in the parking lock to take the shine off still.
