The 27th of March saw the last round in the HNMC winter series and with guys attending Neo 16 it was a good opportunity for some points for the rest of us. Round one of qualifying took it easy and put in a banker run taking second. Second run tried some different tyres and although I felt faster a couple of mistakes meant I didn't improve on the initial run but still took second. The heavens then preceded to open and it was looking a bit worrying as to wether the meeting would continue. But the rain did stop and the track started drying remarkably quickly although round 3 was set to be very slippery. The car handled well in the wet though and put in a good time only 4 secs behind Reeves who TQ'd with me qualifying second. Before the A final we had another helping of rain meaning the track was just as wet as the last round of qualifying. Had a good start and stuck with Simon for the first few minutes getting into the lead on one occasion before Simon pulled away. However soon after the rain claimed its first victim as Simon retired due to electrical issues leaving me to take the win by around 40 seconds. Great result for myself and TLR.
