- Kyosho Ultima RB5 - Rob Betts - Long Island Raceway -

Track:

Smooth clay/topsoil mix.
Medium bite
Technical track then a huge air car breaker

Tires:

Front: taper pins
Rear - BK bars

Front:

3b 35wt AE oil dark yellow spring
2-A camberlink no shims either side
Middle on tower outside on arm longer front shafts
1/4oz under steering rack.
No bumpsteer shim
Hubs up
25 degree block
I run the old lazer zx5 front rims on the 2wd also helps with more steering mid corner to exit.

Rear: (new rear end kit)

3B 30wt AE oil blue springs #68
Middle on tower inside on arm
Middle and outside camberlink 2mm shim on hub
Short wheelbase.

I now run the 3800 orion lipo and did not get the lipo plates. I run weight in a few spots. I run 3 ozin front of the battery were the foam went. you take 2 sets on 1oz weight and glue them together. The take another 1oz piece and glue it on top of them and put it where the foam used to be. I run 1/2oz under the front shock tower and 1/2 oz on either side of the battery compartment up front.

I have run this set-up at about 3 different tracks so far and changed very little. If the car is loose I switch to purple rear springs. Also if the layout is high speed and more point and shoot I switch to the 30 degree block.
