- Team Associated RC10 - Almond McClain - 3rd annual Top Gun Shootout SDRC - 29.06.2014 -

Ran short wheelbase

A few things I want to mention for ol' school racers;
- bring all the extra parts you may need, don't expect local tracks/shops to have it on the shelf. Lots of rims

- replace all old ball studs, ball cups with NEW stock- had too many 20 year old call studs break on the hard surface during practice. If you can, replace ALL hardware, hinge pins and a screwset too.

- SDRC was all about tires. I brought tons of rims and a bunch of tires to try. Once I tried to tires I liked I ended up saucing them and using them the entire event. I couldn't believe I had no tire wear after 4 days of running on them.

- practice,practice,practice. Best setup in the world isn't going to help you keep your line or correct from a bump from another car on the track unless you get used to driving the car. More practice you have on the track should help you keep your cool when your nerves of steal fade under qualifying and main heats.

- Remember blue lock-tire!
Hope this helps those getting ready for the track!
