Bridgewater Triples Again at NCT Rd 2 – Hank Perry 28th Annual

Round #2 of the NCT Series was held in Spokane, WA over Memorial Day Weekend attracting 313 entries from across the Pacific Northwest and Canada. This years race was held in the memories of Gary Matthews and Gracie Snider. Temperatures for the weekend averaged in the mid 70’s and relatively cloudy all weekend. With many of the regions fastest racers attending this race and the high bite nature of the track, some great battles through qualifying and the mains were expected.

Team Associated drivers took overall TQ’s in 5 classes. Team Associated and Reedy driver Chris Bridgewater off his dominating performance from round #1 would continue his streak, TQ’ing the three classes he ran (2wd modified buggy, 4wd modified buggy and 2wd SC). Mike Hudson would take TQ honors in the modified truck class and Jason Hunt in 1/8 Pro buggy.

After the dust had settled on main day, Chris made it a clean sweep by taking wins in all 3 classes for the second race in a row! Jason Hunt would finish 3rd overall in 2wd buggy. A great start to the season. Mike would take the overall win to claim his second clean sweep of the truck class. Dave Gullickson and privateer Tony Corless finished 2nd and 3rd respectively in truck for an all AE podium.

A special thanks to the RCCCS crew for the terrific facility and Rob Howe on keeping the program running smoothly all weekend. Round 3 will be held in Walla Walla, WA on June 27th – 29th.

Chris Bridgewater was kind enough to send me his setup to post for all of you to try. Chris has known to be a setup wizard and I’m sure his race setup are super dialed especially if you run on a track similar to the Hank Perry. Enjoy!
